Israel-Hamas war: హమాస్ ను పూర్తిగా అంతం చేసే లక్ష్యంతో గాజాలో ఇజ్రాయెల్ దాడులు కొనసాగిస్తోంది. ఈ దాడుల్లో ఇప్పటివరకు అధికారికంగా 20 వేల మంది పైగా ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. వారిలో మహిళలు, చిన్నారులే అధికంగా ఉండడం మరో విషాదం.

హమాస్ దాడితో..

అక్టోబర్ 7వ తేదీన హహాస్ (Hamas) మిలిటెంట్లు ఇజ్రాయెల్ లోకి చొరబడి నరమేథం సృష్టించారు. ఇళ్లల్లోకి చొరబడి విచక్షణారహితంగా దాడులు చేస్తూ సుమారు 1200 మందిని చంపేశారు. 240 మందిని బందీలుగా తీసుకువెళ్లారు. ఈ ఘటనతో ప్రపంచమంతా షాక్ కు గురైంది. ఈ దాడిని తీవ్రంగా తీసుకున్న ఇజ్రాయెల్ ప్రతీకార దాడులకు దిగింది. నాటి నుంచి నేటి వరకు హమాస్ లక్ష్యంగా వైమానిక దాడులు కొనసాగిస్తుంది. గాజాలో చొరబడి గ్రౌండ్ ఆపరేషన్ నిర్వహిస్తోంది. గాజాలో హమాస్ మిలటరీ స్థావరాల ధ్వంసం పేరుతో హాస్పిటల్స్ ను, ఇతర పౌర భవనాలను, నివాస ప్రాంతాలను ధ్వంసం చేస్తోంది.

20 వేల మంది..

ఇజ్రాయెల్ (Israel) దాడిలో ఇప్పటివరకు 20,057 మంది చనిపోయారని, 53,320 మంది గాయపడ్డారని అక్కడి వైద్యాధికారులు తెలిపారు. వీరిలో 65% పైగా మహిళలు, చిన్నారులే ఉన్నారని వెల్లడించారు. 20 వేల మంది అంటే, గాజా జనాభాలో సుమారు 1 శాతం. ఇజ్రాయెల్ దళాలు హమాస్ మిలిటెంట్లు, సాధారణ ప్రజలు అన్న తేడా లేకుండా ప్రాణాలు తీస్తోంది. అయితే, హమాస్ (Hamas) వ్యూహాత్మకంగా సాధారణ నివాస ప్రాంతాల్లోనే తమ మిలటరీ కేంద్రాలను ఏర్పాటు చేసుకుందని, ఆ మిలటరీ కేంద్రాలను ధ్వంసం చేసే క్రమంలో సామాన్య పౌరుల ప్రాణాలు కూడా పోతున్నాయని ఇజ్రాయెల్ వాదిస్తోంది. గాజాలోని సుమారు 85% మంది తమ ఇళ్లను వదిలి సురక్షిత ప్రాంతాలకు తరలివెళ్లారు.

ఆకలితో అలమటిస్తున్నారు..

మరోవైపు, ఇజ్రాయెల్ దాడుల కారణంగా గాజాలో నిత్యావసరాలకు కొరత ఏర్పడింది. మానవతా సాయం అందించడానికి వివిధ దేశాలు ముందుకు వస్తున్నాయి. కానీ సరిహద్దుల వద్ద వాటిని ఇజ్రాయెల్ దళాలు అడ్డుకుంటున్నాయి. గాజాలో ప్రతీ నలుగురిలో ఇద్దరు ఆకలితో అలమటిస్తున్నారు. కాగా, ఇప్పటివరకు 7 వేల మంది హమాస్ మిలిటెంట్లను హతమార్చామని ఇజ్రాయెల్ ప్రకటించింది. కాల్పుల విరమణ కోసం ప్రపంచ దేశాలు ఇస్తున్న పిలుపును ఇజ్రాయెల్ పట్టించుకోవడం లేదు. హమాస్ ను పూర్తిగా నాశనం చేసే వరకు దాడులు కొనసాగుతాయని స్పష్టం చేసింది. ప్రపంచ దేశాలు మద్ధతివ్వకపోయినా, ఈ యుద్ధం కొనసాగుతుందని తేల్చిచెప్పింది.

Israel declared war against Hamas after the Palestinian militant group attacked Israeli settlements on Oct. 7 and killed some 1,200 people and kidnapped 240 others.

Israel has carried out thousands of airstrikes as well as a fierce ground offensive in what it says is a campaign to destroy Hamas' military capabilities. It blames Hamas for the high civilian death toll, citing the group's use of crowded residential areas for military purposes.

Israeli officials say the army has killed some 7,000 Hamas militants. However, it has not presented any evidence to back up the claim, according to AP.

Despite calls for a ceasefire, Israel has said it would press on until Hamas, which has ruled Gaza for 16 years, has been destroyed.

"We won't stop fighting until we've achieved all the objectives we've set ourselves: the elimination of Hamas, the release of our hostages and the end of the threat from Gaza," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

Israel's Foreign Minister Eli Cohen asserted that Tel Aviv will continue the war with or without international support.

"Israel will continue the war against Hamas with or without international support," Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said on December 13. “A ceasefire at the current stage is a gift to the terrorist organisation Hamas, and will allow it to return and threaten the residents of Israel.”
